Cares--or lack thereof...

I'm so over my job it's not even funny. I no longer care about the following...

• Whether or not someone gets their paycheck (I should care, but I just don't.)
• What managers need contract workers, what skills are required, and meeting the timeline to get these people hired
• How many contractors we have working (I don't see a dime of it anyway--so why would I care?!)
• Whether or not managers like me. (I secretly don't like some of them!!)

What I do care about is listed as follows....

• Getting a new job in Cinci near Steve and getting the heck out of Columbus!
• Our beautiful, gorgeous house that I'm itching to move into
• 10/23/10
• And the fact that I just signed up to be a contestant on The Wheel Of Fortune. Seriously.

If you have a hunch that something is going to come back and bite you in the ass, then there's a 200% chance that it WILL in fact come back and bite you!

Alternate paths...

Work has been several types of bad lately. I'm pondering alternate career ideas. Please weigh in with your votes:

• A fine jewelry model
• Having my own travel show on the travel channel (or TLC, or whatever network will represent me). Sarah Palin is getting her own travel show--why can't I?
• Wine Tester
• Dessert food critic
• Motivational speaker (I'm not sure about what, but definitely something motivating...)
• Movie critic
• Arts and crafts demonstrator
• A swim up bartender

Frustrations!

Don't you hate when people assume the same situation will happen to you, just because it happened to them? For example, my coworkers said "Oh, this customer will throw you under the bus no matter how much work you do and how hard you try. We've been through this with them a few times and it always happens; I'm sure they'll do the same to you."

Ummm did you ever stop and think that this might NOT happen to me?! Don't assume that things will turn out badly for me just because they turned out that way for you! I've been working really hard and doing a good job for this customer, and so far the feedback has been great! I think it'll work out just fine. Where's the faith people?!

Gummi Delights

I have a big container of gummi bears at work. I eat those cute little gummis everyday and have decided that I hate the yellow ones. Why bother eating them if I hate them? I just throw them away. I know there are starving children all over the world--but can I realistically box up the uneaten yellow gummi bears and ship them somewhere? I don't think so...?

Simply Simplify

With all the busy-ness of 2010, I'm on a campaign to simplify my life! I cleaned out the junk in my purse, keep up with and eliminate clutter in my apartment, and am generally getting my life organized. I did my taxes, caught up with some old friends, and am trying to keep on top of everything! Yipee!
