TOP SECRET!

Ok, I've discovered something so wonderful, and SO top secret, that I'm almost afraid to post it on the Internet! But this secret is so deliciously tasty, that I want to shout it from a mountain top and share this with the world!!

Trader Joe's (a.k.a.--the best store on the planet) has transformed my life. They make "Reduced Guilt Fat Free Brownies"--which may not seem like a huge deal to you. Sure, there's other reduced fat/calorie/sugar/carb desserts out there, but this one is so special and above all the rest!! And I'll tell you why!

I bought a box last night and was contemplating if I wanted to make the batch to satisfy my sweet tooth. As I was deciding between my chocolate cravings and laziness for not wanting to wash pans (a serious issue if you have no dishwasher...), I discovered Trader Joe's secret!! On the back of the box was a recipe to make just ONE serving of brownies!!!


How is this possible, you ask?

Well, the only ingredient you need to mix in is fat free yogurt. But for the one single serving of brownies, you can just toss together 2 scoops of brownie mix with 1 scoop of yogurt, and pop it in the microwave for 45 seconds! The result is a warm, fluffy, delicious, fat free cake-like concoction of fabulous brownie!! It's unbelievable!! I still can't even believe it as I'm typing it this morning!!!

Beet It

Every now and then a new food enters my life and just totally rocks my world. First it was chick peas, then it was Laughing Cow reduced fat cheese wedges, then it was Trader Joe's 12 grain snack crackers, and now I've discovered an AMAZING new food--BEETS! They are so delightful, pretty, savory, and flavorful and I can't help but pile on my salad with beets! Try one today and enjoy their purple delight!!

Road Warrior

My drive to and from work is absolutely treacherous. My apartment about 8 miles away from work and honestly--about 6.5 of those miles is like driving over the rough terrain of the Australian outback or something. The roads are so bad that I've actually gotten nauseous a few times! There are potholes, cracked roadways, and sewers that are so far sunk into the ground that my tires must dip down about 6" whenever I drive over them. You can't swerve to avoid these potholes, cracks, or sewers because cars are parked on both sides of the street for a majority of my commute. It's so bad and I feel like my drive to and from work is like "off roading" over a mountain--except I drive a Ford Taurus, not an SUV or a truck. I've gotten 2 flat tires within the past 6 months. The AAA guy pulled out 2 rocks and a bolt from my most recent flat tire! Where is my hover-board when I need it?

To Maineville, To Dallas, and Back!

We got the keys to our house! It's so gorgeous and we LOVE it! 24 hours after closing, we jetted off to Dallas for a wedding! It was a whirlwind weekend, but that's normal for a quarter-lifer :)
