H.B.D. - aka...Happy Birthday Dad!!! This is my Dad - he is awesome and the best Dad in the whole world. He is loving, kind, funny, smart, cool, caring, and has a heart of gold. Today is his birthday and we are sooooooooooooo thankful to have such an amazing Dad and such a great role model. We love you Dad!!

(You may be wondering why I wrote H.B.D....Dad is the master of initials and abbreviations. Dad may buy you a GC (gift card). He may take you to BK, DQ, or MDs (Burger King, Dairy Queen, or McDonalds). He may leave you a list of things to do: WTC (wash the car), TOT (take out trash), or ED (empty dishwasher). I thought it was only fitting to say HBD on this very special day!)

Fall 2014

Dear Steve & Shell,
Definitely buy 2 packs of large paper leaf bags, because you will use them ALL! They will be much easier to use when placing thorny rose bush branches inside (plastic garbage bags were a disaster!). Also, wear 2 pairs of gloves when handling rose bush branches, preferably Steve's leather man yard gloves! You will get pricked a LOT less!
