My Mother In Law

This is my Mother-In-Law. Is she not the most fashionable person you've ever seen?! She really is!She just retired from a 15+ year career in retail and got a cool new job with normal hours and no holidays or weekends!! WOOHOOOO! Congratulations Linn!!

Sun Pickles!

Just finished the second batch! SO good!

PICKLES!!!

Well, I finally found a use for all of our cucumbers - thanks to our fabulous cousins, Michael and Laura. Here they are at their wedding:

How cute are they!? Well, lucky for Steve and I, they gave us a recipe for DILL PICKLES! And not just any dill pickles (that involve glass jars, boiling water, really hard directions, etc), but really easy and delicious SUN PICKLES!! You seriously put cucumbers, dill, garlic, etc in a jar and let it hang out in the sun for a few days and BOOM!! You have PICKLES!! This is a dream come true for someone who LIVES for pickles!!!

Thank you Michael and Laura for changing my pickle loving LIFE!!!!! These are SO GOOD!!!!

 

Harvesting

Our cucumber crop is flourishing this year!!

The tomatoes?? Not so much...so far we've only gotten 6 cherry tomatoes for the season...  :(

Pets

When people ask if we have pets, we respond and say "No. We have ants."

Last weekend we went to the Red River Gorge in KY to celebrate my "29th" birthday. They should just rename it Red River GORGEOUS instead, because it is just that!

We went rock climbing! Nothing like death defying adventures on your birthday (remember last year's sky diving adventure?!)

 Here's Steve on the rocks - we climbed over all the way from that far side of the rock you can see in this picture. It was scary! but really cool and fun too :)

 We started out doing two "easy" routes, then we got crazy and decided to do one intermediate and one advanced! Let me tell you - the advanced route really is advanced. Yikes! More pics on that later...
