Caking

Last week I made a mini wedding cake to resemble my parents real wedding cake that they ate 35 YEARS ago! Mine was smaller and had two less tiers and no columns....I'm not that good....but kudos to the real cake bakers who can actually to that!

 These are supposed to be daisies...! (I'm just glad they look like some type of flower...! I better not quit my day job and join Ace of Cakes....whew it is tough....!)

 



I refurbished their original cake topper! I gave it a fresh coat of paint so it was nice and white!

Besties

I am SO lucky to have the most amazing friends in the world! I was lucky enough to see 2 of my 3 besties last night! (The other one was busy....moving across the country! You go girl!) SO much fun and SO thankful for them :)

Adventures in babysitting

YEA we babysat 4 kids this weekend. YEA we had fun. NO, no one went to the ER. NO we didn't have to call 911. SUCCESS!!!!

Sushi!

I bet you didn't know that Steve and I are sushi rolling champions, did you?! Last weekend we took a sushi rolling class, and as it turns out, we're awesome at it!! And that's not just a self appointed title, our class voted on the best roll for the first round of sushi, and Steve won! Then the teacher voted on the second roll, and I won! Then we got to eat these delicious little gems. Mmmm! Victory never tasted so good!
